In Overwatch 2 as a new player I have this daily challenge that says "say thanks emote to a support hero ??".

I do this:

• at the start of the match I look up who are the supports in my team (the cross symbol ?) and I memorize their names.
• then when we're waiting like 20 seconds together for the match to start, I go in front of them so that they're in the center of my screen.
• I hold C and move my cursor to "Thanks ??", and I correctly say the "Thanks ??" emote, that works.

However this doesn't complete the daily challenge... What's the deal? How to do it?

The big thing they don't tell you about this challenge and the "Say hello to a teammate" challenge is that you cannot do them during setup time. Instead, you have to wait until the round actually starts and THEN do them.

Unfortunately, that makes it harder since teammates are going to be moving around after the round starts.
